I'd like to be happier that Obama won, but I'm not. However, I am happy that people like this exist.

ReplyDeleteThe Prop 8 vote sullied the entire election for me and a lot of my friends as well. It was a serious blow. I'm lucky to live in a state that a)has gay marriage and b)didn't even give people the option of repealing the gay marriage law in the past election. Well, there was a small group who tried to get it on the ballot, but they failed miserably.
ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of reasons to allow gay marriage. Olbermann highlights the most important one by far. Disallowing it is simply hateful. But there are practical reasons as well, as California would have discovered. Gay people are really good for the economy! My state (MA) has the numbers to prove it. So gay Californians, if you haven't already high-tailed it for Canada and you can stomach a move to the east coast, MA will welcome you with open arms!
This is the second time I've watched this video, and it gives me shivers.
