Hair raising

My hair is inexplicably changing colour and I don't like it. About a month ago I noticed it seemed lighter than usual and that I had roots. Yes, I've dyed it recently but I dyed it darker, not lighter, so it didn't make sense. But logical or not, it just keeps getting lighter and lighter. Colours that used to look good on me no longer do. The whole look of my face has changed. It's weird.

At this rate, I'm going to be naturally blond by the time I'm 60. Then we'll see who has more fun!

  1. Maybe it has to do with the type of dye you used? If the permanent dye lifted colour before depositing the darker colour, when the dark colour fades, your hair is actually lighter than before.

This is my theory and I'm sticking to it.

  2. Your theory is good except that all that old dye should be cut out of my hair already. My hair's not that long and I dyed it months ago. I've been for 5 or 6 haircuts since then!

Nope, I'm convinced that Platinum Blond and I will have something in common before too long.

  3. Pff! My hair has been falling out since I was 20. It's lighter in a completely different sense of the word. But I'll try to muster up some sympathy.

  4. I started out wanting to be a redhead: and I was. Then I wanted to be blonde: and I was.

Now I'm 58 and, having lost all desire to fake anything, I decided to let it go NATURAL.

Know what? It's BLONDE!! I think the peroxide changed my DNA!

  5. My hair has been getting lighter and lighter every year. No idea why, when I die it, I die it dark, not blonde. I do spend alot of time in the sun, but still...it's a mystery to me!
